FRC Off-Season Event Twitch Stream
We’re so excited about our in-person competition! If you can’t join us, however, don’t worry. You can still hang out with the FINFAM by tuning into our Twitch channel!
FTC Kickoff
Kick-off is a celebration! It not only announces the new FREIGHT FRENZY season Game Challenge, but also provides an opportunity for teams to gather, renew acquaintances, make new friends, compare notes, exchange ideas, learn the game and get geared-up for the exciting new competition season!
Four kick-off events are being planned for Saturday, September 19 in Mishawaka, Greenwood, Crawfordsville and Shoals! All kick-off events will have a full set of the field elements and game pieces, and workshop sessions on various topics.

FIRST Tech Challenge Rookie Grants
Do you know someone who is interested or excited about starting a brand new FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team? Tell them about our $500 rookie grants! FIRST Tech Challenge is offering grants to help brand new teams get started. Register now and apply for your rookie grant! Congratulations to FLL Challenge team, The Robotillers!The 2021 FIRST® Global Innovation Awards powered by Star Wars: Force for Change wrapped up a game-changing season for 60 finalist teams across all FIRST programs. The Robotillers from Bedford, IN, were awarded the Implementation Award for their FIRST LEGO League Challenge project, Limestoneopoly, a game that gets you out into your community to get fit while having fun! Be sure to watch this video where you can learn more about the Robotillers’ project and about the core values that drive their team’s success.

Do you want to get more involved in the FIN community? You’re in luck! FIN has three job positions available. A FIRST LEGO League Program Director is needed to help expand the FIRST LEGO League Program in Indiana by recruiting and supporting new FLL Explore and Challenge Teams. A talented individual with strong communication and logistics skills are needed for the role of Operations and Logistics Manager. And a Development Coordinator with a passion for nonprofit development is needed to help maintain and grow FIN partner relations. If you are interested, click the link below to apply now!
The Program Support Committee Needs Help
The Program Support Committee is seeking volunteers with a background in data visualization and metrics to create a series of tools for the program.
The committee is also in search of teachers, principals, superintendents, retired educators, etc. who can help FIRST Indiana Robotics address the specific needs of the education community.
AmeriCorp VISTA Position
FIN is looking for a new VISTA to help expand the vision of FIRST by working in areas that have been deemed underserved: lower socio-economic communities, rural areas, and areas that have little to no support or resources to be able to easily access STEM initiatives. FIRST Robotics Day at the Statehouse
Mark your calendars! Tuesday, February 1, 2022 will be FIRST Robotics Day at the Indiana Statehouse. We will be looking for teams at all levels of FIRST to attend, demo, meet with legislators, and more!

FIN Grants Now Open
The FIRST Indiana Robotics grant application process for 2021-2022 is now open. We encourage all teams at all levels to fill out our application so we can then determine if you are eligible for any of our regional team support grants.
If you are a Toyota-sponsored or Rolls-Royce-sponsored team, this grant application is required for that support.
